Terms & Conditions

A 10% deposit is required upon booking. At the time of booking, we will take your debit/credit card details and authorisation to the use of this card for any sums that fall due. For non-refundable reservations, we will take full payment at the time of booking. For all other reservations, payment is due on departure.

All our rates are Bed and Breakfast. Therefore your rate includes a continental buffet and a cooked breakfast choice from our breakfast menu.

For individual reservations: If a booking is cancelled less than 7 days before arrival, then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made. In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.

We strongly recommend that you take out adequate travel insurance to cover any unexpected cancellations.

Check-in time is between 2.00pm and 10.00pm but earlier or later check-in times may be available by prior arrangement.

On the day of departure, please vacate your room before 11.00am so that we can prepare the room for our next guests. Late check-out may be available by prior arrangement and may be subject to an additional charge.

Children are welcome. We provide Zbeds by prior arrangement for children 12 years and under, at £45 per child per night. Please note that due to space limitations, we are unable to accommodate Zbeds in our classic rooms (Thwaite, Keld and Grinton).

Unfortunately, we do not provide cots. If you are travelling with a baby, please bring your own travel cot and advise us beforehand.

Well behaved dogs are welcome at The Burgoyne. We allow a maximum of 2 dogs per room and a surcharge of £15 per dog per night applies. Dogs are allowed in all rooms except for the restaurant and kitchen.

For the comfort of all our guests, smoking is not allowed anywhere inside The Burgoyne, this includes the use of e-cigarettes. Guests are however permitted to smoke in the outside areas. A cleaning fee of £250 will be charged to any guest found smoking in their room.
