Deer Shed Festival 28th – 31st July 2023
Deer Shed Festival is the ultimate celebration of the arts. This three-day festival appeals to all ages and generations.
There are events dedicated to music, comedy, live performance shows, science, sports, spoken word, literature, theatre arts, cinema and more!
The festival is keen to cater for all guest with special events running for families and children. They even have a line-up specifically dedicated to wellbeing! This versatile festival really does have something for everyone!

The Masham Steam Engine & Fair Organ Rally 14th - 16th July 2023
This is so much more than steam engines (although of course there are lots of those to see too!). IT’s a whole weekend packed full of live music, thrilling stunts, children’s entertainment, brass bands – in fact everything you would expect from a Yorkshire festival and much more besides.

Harrogate Music Festival 29th June – 30th July 2023
From the Young Musician series to showcasing the work of globally acclaimed artists, Harrogate Music Festival is proud of its history of supporting and celebrating the work of musicians at all stages of their careers.
This year, Harrogate Music Festival launches on 29 June 2023 with internationally renowned orchestra Chineke! making their Harrogate debut at the Royal Hall.
The 2023 season runs throughout July with three long weekends of classical, chamber and jazz music including Julian and Jiaxin Lloyd Webber, Fenella Humphreys, renowned musicians in a residency curated by pianist Robin Green and an electrifying night of the world’s best session musicians brought together in one mega band with Mike Lovatt’s Brass Pack. Aldborough & Boroughbridge Show 23rd July 2023
For the fifth year, the Aldborough & Boroughbridge Agricultural Show is returning to the spectacular setting of Newby Hall, nr. Ripon. The prestigious show, to be held on Sunday July 23rd includes entry into the award winning gardens and legendary adventure playground, complete with pedalo boats, zip wire and miniature railway! Access to the beautiful Georgian house is also available on the day at a discounted rate.

Behind Closed Doors Tour at Castle Howard 25th May and 11th July 2023 at 4:00pm
Join the curators for a rare opportunity to go behind the crimson ropes, and discover some of the fascinating secrets of Castle Howard, not normally on display to the public.
This tour will take you from the very top, to the very bottom of the building. Taking in hidden views as you learn some of the many fantastic stories from Castle Howard’s 300-year history.

Settle Flowerpot Festival 15th July – 3rd September 2023
This Flowerpot Festival is bringing some fun to the streets of Settle this summer!
Stroll around the village and admire the creative and entertaining flowerpot displays. From cute to crazy, hunting for these creative characters is a unique way to spend a day.

The Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival 22nd – 23rd July 2023
This is a huge celebration of local and national food, held right here in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Over the two-day event this amazing food festival shares cookery stages, live music from local artists plus over 250 exhibitors selling artisan produce, beauty, crafts, fashion and more.
The 2023 event features celebrity chefs The Hairy Bikers, Gino D’Acampo plus James Martin on the agenda. They will be showcasing their skills alongside many other fantastic workshops and masterclasses.
There will also be a vintage funfair, craft workshops and of course, plenty of delicious street food!
